Exchange Administrator Specialist is responsible for monitoring events and incidents that affect server and service health across the Enterprise and documenting outage.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support and manage the operation, servicing, trouble shooting, and account administration of Active Directory (AD), Exchange, Active Directory Application Mode (ADAM), and the Global Address List (GAL).
- Provide support for the operation, servicing, trouble shooting, and account administration of Active Directory (AD), Exchange, Active Directory Application Mode (ADAM), and the Global Address List (GAL).
- Support the operation, servicing, trouble shooting, and account administration of Active Directory (AD), Exchange, Active Directory Application Mode (ADAM), and the Global Address List (GAL).
- Manage end user accounts.
- Perform life cycle events on end use accounts to include:
- Creation, Modification , Movement
- Upgrade/downgrade accounts access.
- Delete or transfer network end user data as required.
- Manage web-based active directory (AD) tool for reporting and queries against the end user accounts.
- Manage AD group objects including user accounts, computer accounts, and other group manageable units.
- Perform life cycle events for AD groups to include:
- Create new Groups, Modify Group attributes, Modify Group Object Type, Deactivate and delete Groups.
- Manage the enterprise messaging service to process, deliver, store, and receive email and associated attachments.
- Manage the ability to send and receive signed and encrypted email and attachments using PKI certificates.
- Configure email service to utilize mandated and accredited messaging protocols and configuration to ensure interoperability and remote access.
- Manage server mailbox restorations.
- Manage smart/mobile device email service infrastructures and manage synchronization with mobile capabilities.
- Manage the unclassified and secret capability to access email via a web-based application.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
- Utilize internal systems to report incidents to leadership.
- Takes escalations of any alerts/events identified as significant and requiring action. Ensures the Critical Situation Manager is apprised of all details regarding any significant events or incidents.
Basic Qualifications
- Requires 1-3 years of prior relevant experience
- US Citizen and DoD Secret Clearance.
- 8570 Compliant meeting the IAT level certification requirements
- Familiarity with ITIL best practices (ITIL Foundations)
- Knowledgeable on tools used in an Enterprise organization that aids in Event Management; Incident Management and performance Management
- Worked in a DOD environment and understands customer communication
- Experience in a data center environment
- Performs well under pressure and ability to calm end users
- Hands-on Experience in working with DoD networks, including NIPR and SIPR
- Willing to perform shift work
- 12PM – 12 AM HST
- Shift 4: Thursday - Saturday and every other Wednesday
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior military experience a plus; USMC or USN IT experience preferred
- Experience working with networking technologies and data centers
- Exceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written, including long-form business writing on complex topics
- An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to drive innovation independently; have a passion to improve at every opportunity
- Ability to define program goals and roadmaps based on customer needs and strategic direction, and ensure that committed projects are delivered on schedule by the relevant team members

- Motivated self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to create complex technical reports on analytic findings
